A round up of what inspired me this past week

In days when everything looks a bit grey, I have two main allies.

Shopping & art—any type of art, really, and any type of shopping. Something like a painting, a poem, a well-sewn garment, a good clutch of tomatoes, or even just the long whiskers of my cat can bring me some joy.

Whatever your week has been like or is going to be, do not worry; you will find one way or another, and if things look hard, you can always do like me and confide in the light-hearted beauty of spending and observing.

Sophia Lauren’s Roman Villa

The most beautiful house in the world, if you ask me. A 16th-century villa in the heart of the Roman hills with more than 50 rooms and the most luxurious interiors I’ve ever seen. These pictures make me incredibly nostalgic for a diva’s life I’ve never lived, and they’re just a testimony to the romanticism and golden days of Italy.
