This was so good! I'm no makeup pro either and usually feel more comfortable in a less complicated makeup look, but learnt so much from these tips!

So glad you liked it! I found talking with Marcella so enlightening, I tried her concealer trick and it finally all makes sense ahah

I've too ben confused about prime but just bought a hydrating one which is supposed to give a "honey glow" and honestly I do feel less shiny and more softly glowy at the end of the day

What an excellent interview, Giulia! I also feel like make-up is dismissed as shallow and frivolous, but it can really be an empowering tool in communicating who we are.

How do you apply eyeliner on the lower rim? I’m still unsure how to apply! Thank you so much.

Hello Mary. It's Marcella from this interview! Thank you for this question. If you'd like to use a pencil eyeliner, make sure it's super sharp and apply it with small strokes then soften with a very small brush. The secret with the lower rim is always to work with precise tools at first - whether if you’re using eyeliners or powders. Also, if you are scared to go directly with a very dark colour remember you can always sketch with a lighter shade just to see how it looks, you can always go darker later on

Thank you SO much! Do you apply it right on the rim/waterline or over top the lashes? Really appreciate the reply.

It depends on the kind of look you are going for. Eyeliner on the waterline intensifies the look and the eye, potentially making it more sultry if also blended between the lashes. Definition only between the lashes gives a sculpted, soft result, often more natural if using complexion-like shades. So, the choice is yours!
